Longreach - A British backpacker who lost 3 days in outback Australia, found selamat.dia forced to drink urine to survive.
Sam Derry-Woodhead (18) missing since Tuesday afternoon from the farm Upshot Station, 130 km from the town of Longreach, Queensland, Australia. In that place, he was on vacation as a backpacker and worked 10 days as a cowboy. Sam eventually found to be dehydrated and sunburned.
"He tried to drink their own urine and it was an experience that has never been done before, and he was shocked by it," said Sam's mother, Claire Derry as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald.
Sam also drinking water solution for contact lenses to avoid thirst. When found, Sam lost weight up to 15 kg.
50 People looking for Sam in the area of 500 square km with a very tough terrain and weather is 39 degrees Celsius. Because of the difficult terrain, two volunteers from the State Emergency Service was brought to the hospital due to exposure to hot weather.

"I read the newspaper said there was a snake, and most people do not survive in the Australian outback. I got desperate and actually resigned to whatever the conditions here," said Claire.
Claire had already spoken on the phone with Sam. According to Sam, the rescue team who found joked that Sam can smile. However, Sam's voice sounded weak and could not eat. Claire thanked Queensland police and all involved in the search and rescue team.
Sam's family in England welcomed the news of the discovery of Sam safely. According to the mother, the young backpacker survived because he had followed the course of the survival of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
"Sam bodied, he was aspiring marininir entry or the army. Recently he took survival training and SAR of Sandhurst, he was certainly very helpful," said Claire.
