British tourist, David Reid and his son Lewis was really scared. They heard a sound like an explosion like a bomb, while about two hours of flight with Emirates A380. Apparently, the sound of explosions coming from the emergency door open while flying at 27,000 feet.
"About two hours on the plane, all of a sudden we heard a big explosion," said Reid as dilongok of News Australia, Monday (02/18/2013).
Reid told the Daily Mail, the emergency door in business class is open about 4 cm. The cold air was pushed into the cabin.
A cabin attendant ran down the aisle, shouting that the door will be off. Then she crouched behind the passenger seat. The open door of the plane as it flies through the air is a dangerous thing. Why, the oxygen content decreases as more and more planes flying high in the air.
"This is an astonishing incident, a blast loud I thought a bomb. Air flowing into the cabin like a storm. Stewardess ran down the cabin, grabbed the intercom and yelled 'doors will escape'," said Reid.
To her surprise, instead of an emergency landing, the crew actually patch the gaping hole of the door open with blankets and pillows were given tape. The aircraft continued to fly despite horrendous buzzing passengers and temperatures reaching below zero degrees. Reid was photographed door patched it.
"This is a sophisticated aircraft, but they use the most rude to cover the hole, said Reid, who has a civilian pilot's license.

Reid claims he suffered a chest infection after the incident and was forced to cut his vacation. Though he had to shell out U.S. $ 6,800 or approximately USD 65 million.
"We recognize there is noise coming from one of the doors on the upper deck on the A380 EK384 flight between Bangkok and Hong Kong on Monday, February 11. Yet aviation and passenger safety is not in danger," said a spokesman for Emirates.
Meanwhile, Airbus spokesman also said the aircraft cabin door that opens on the A380 is not possible in flight. "Because the door opens inward and has been locked mechanically," he said.
Reid's son who was 18 years old, reported the incident to the Department of Transport Air Accident Investigation. They are expected to conduct an investigation to the Civil Aviation Authority of the United Arab Emirates on the incident.
