New Delhi - While traveling to New Delhi, India, the traveler women do not need to be confused to find transportation. Because there are no taxis driven by women and just to give you a ride to the fair sex.
In some major cities in the world, including in New Delhi, India, transport like taxis seem to be a helper for the female traveler. However, high crime rates make their womenfolk seem anxious to use these transportation services.
But this time, you do not have to worry while on vacation in New Delhi. Because there are no taxis for women, driven and only for female passengers only. This is the name of the taxi company Cabs for Women by Women. This is a new taxi company. Until now, only 8 women drivers they have.
"When I was on the road and driving a taxi I feel very proud, because this is a cab for her, and I'm a woman," said one taxi driver Cabs for Women by Women, Sharma (31), quoted detikTravel from the BBC, Friday (15.02.2013).
"Our work is helping women in Delhi. We give them a sense of security," he added.
Because companies are still whole corn, Cabs for Women by Women is not yet widely known to the public and tourists in New Delhi. But since rape female student on the bus last year, Sharma and his colleagues so inundated calls from prospective passengers.
"After the case (rape) that our workload increase. Women who had used other taxis, are now turning to us," he said.
