Since 1862, Het Arresthuis already opened in the City of Roermond, Netherlands. Surely, nobody wants to stay here, considering the building once used as a prison. Het Arresthuis is famous imprisoned secure very tight.
But now, after 150 years passed, the building that had been feared by all the people turned into a swanky hotel. As seen from the hotel's official website, in the year 2007, Het Arresthuis has turned into a place to stay for tourists in the city of Roermond.
As much as possible the building is not overhauled much. The design retained the typical prison, despite many new items in it. The room door was still a thick iron covered. There is only a small box to the top to look inside or out.
Room 105 prisoners are transformed into 40 spacious rooms, including 24 standard rooms, 12 deluxe rooms and 4 suites. There was no impression of prison in his room. There was only the all-white building with luxurious furniture like star.
Each room is equipped with air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, and even coffee and tea. In Het Arresthuis, each guest will be pampered with amenities such as sauna, fitness center, courtyard with olive trees, and organic gardens. For the traveler who want a drink, Het Arresthuis also has 2 bars in it.
